Information

Dear Parents,

Assalaamunalaikum.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child/children to the Saturday Workshop.  To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the workshop we have listed a few guidelines which we hope you will support as they are for the benefit of your child and the workshop. They are as follows:

  1. The workshop year begins in January and ends in December. The workshop is open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. on Saturdays. Students must arrive and be picked up ON TIME.  If, for whatever reason, your child is going to be late or has to leave early, please notify someone from the administration in advance.
  2. A calendar of dates listing workshop opening and holidays for the year will be e-mailed to registered e-mail address and will be available on the website.  If there are any changes they will be posted on the website and you will be notified by e-mail.
  3. Akhlaaq, Fiqh, Tareekh and Qur’an are the subjects taught at the workshop. The workshop day ends with jama’at salaat at 1:45 p.m. and we encourage the parents to join in the salaat.
  4. Monthly fees, which equals £1.50 per week x the number of weeks the workshop is open in a month, are payable on the first Saturday of the month and this amount is payable even if the child is absent.
  5. Fees should be brought to the reception in an envelope marked with the child’s name and the amount enclosed. Receipts will be issued accordingly.
  6. The year’s course notes are given to the students in book form costing £5.00 per book payable as soon as the student receives the books.
  7. Girls/ladies should be in hijab and should wear chaadar or coat while at the workshop.
  8. Boys/gents should wear a cap while at the workshop.
  9. Please DO NOT BLOCK anyone when you come to drop-off or pick-up your children.
  10. Students may bring a small snack and drink for break. Chocolates and fizzy drinks are NOT ALLOWED. Students are not allowed to leave the premises during the break.
  11. Mobile telephones are NOT allowed at the workshop. If a student is required to have their mobile for any purpose, that mobile MUST be given in at the reception.  For emergency purposes Meimuna Walji’s mobile number is: 07854 200291.

If you have any queries about the above rules or wish to discuss any other matter personally, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the administration.
